Where are Dr. Marink’s pillows made?

All components of Dr. Marink’s anatomically-engineered, worldwide-patented pillows, including the fabric covers and packaging, are manufactured in the United States of America.  And, the fabric covers are cut and sewn to our specifications by a US veteran-owned textile company.

Do I need a special pillowcase for my Dr. Marink’s pillow?
No. Dr. Marink’s Side Sleeper Pillows and Back Sleeper Pillows fit in any standard-size pillowcase. Dr. Marink’s Combo Sleeper Pillows fit in any king-size pillowcase.
Why aren’t Dr. Marink’s pillows big and fluffy?
It’s is a common misconception that big, fluffy pillows are the most comfortable types of pillows to sleep on. The most comfortable sleeping position is one in which your neck is kept in the same natural position as it is when you are standing. Our pillows are uniquely designed to promote this position, helping you sleep more comfortably, wake up more rested and avoid the pain and stiffness that are often hallmarks of other pillows.
How do I customize the height of my Dr. Marink’s pillow?
Every Dr. Marink’s pillow comes with a unique custom spacer system to adjust the pillow’s height so it’s just right for you. The spacers allow you to vary pillow height from ¼ inch to 2 inches. There are detailed, easy-to-follow instructions included with your pillow to help you get the best sleep possible, night after night!
I lost the spacer instructions that came with my pillow. How can I get another copy?

Hey, you’re just like us! We lose product instructions all the time! So, we have copies of the spacer instructions that you can download whenever you might need them right here:

How long will it take for me to get used to my Dr. Marink’s pillow?
You should expect it to take about 5-7 days, on average, to adjust to your new pillow. Some people will acclimate sooner while in some extreme cases, it could take up to two weeks (14 days). You have likely been sleeping on a pillow for years that has disrupted your spinal alignment and has prevented your associated muscles from truly reaching a relaxed state.  Because your muscles have a certain amount of “memory” to them, your body simply needs a little time to adjust to the ideal position Dr. Marink’s pillows support you in. And once you do, you’ll never want to sleep on any other pillow again!
Are there any special care instructions for my Dr. Marink’s pillow?

Make sure you always use a pillow case over the contoured fabric cover included with your pillow.  The fabric cover serves a functional purpose and, while you can sleep directly on the contoured fabric cover itself, it is better to place your Dr. Marink’s pillow in a regular pillow case when you sleep on it.  Aside from this, there’s nothing special you need to do with your Dr. Marink’s pillow. The pillow will retain its shape for years and will not get flat or lumpy — we guarantee it for 10 years!

Are Dr. Marink’s pillows made from memory foam?
No. Our pillows are created from a specialized high-density, high-quality foam material made in the U.S.A. that is designed specifically to provide proper anatomical support to keep your neck in its most natural position possible. The resulting comfort has been shown to exceed any other pillow type. And unlike some other “premium” pillows, Dr. Marink’s pillows will not get flat or lumpy over time.
Why does Dr. Marink's foam discolor?
As part of normal aging process, foam will discolor because of natural oxidation. It is not toxic or harmful in any way.
Can foam discoloration be prevented?
We are sure a treatment can be sprayed on it to prolong the color, but we wouldn't want that for our families.
Keeping the foam away from sunlight helps greatly.
Does foam discoloration affect the performance?
Not at all. That's why we give a 10-year warranty.
What is normal lordotic curvature?
This is a critical component of healthy spinal alignment. It refers to the normal curvature of the cervical spine, which slightly curves towards the chin in a +17cm to +24cm degree arc from the base of the skull to the bottom of the neck. This position is the natural way your neck should rest (barring previous injury) when you stand or sit looking straight ahead, also called the neck’s natural rested state. It is also the way your neck should rest when you sleep.
What is your shipping policy?
